Introduction

This is a hands-on experience that combines food tasting, herb introductions, and fun workshops (cooking classes/handicraft activities). It's like a tasty journey that helps children understand Malaysia's cultural mix. Through a meal, they'll learn about the uniqueness of different ethnic cuisines, discover special herbs, and enjoy interactive DIY activities.

Nyonya cuisine best showcases Malaysia's cultural blend, incorporating Malay and Chinese flavors. It's not only rich in taste but also colorful—a great example of different cultures coming together. We'll use a fascinating ingredient, butterfly pea flowers, commonly found in Nyonya cooking, to add captivating blue and purple hues to the food. Kids will even learn to make a classic Nyonya dessert, onde-onde, using these flowers!

Purchase Guide

  • Duration : Approximately 2.5 hour, subject to on-site conditions
  • Suitable for : Ages 5 & above, children aged 9 and above can participate independently, for children aged 5 to 8 , parents must accompany them. The accompanying parent fee is 80.
  • Language of instruction: Bilingual (English / Mandarin)
  • Teacher-student ratio: 1 teacher + 6~10 students
  • Included Costs: Instructor fees, materials & tools, venue charges
  • Matters Needing Attention: Please read all instructions, cancellation, and reschedule policies carefully. Application submission confirms your agreement to the merchant’s regulations.

  • Weather Impact: The event will proceed as scheduled unless there is a major natural disaster, such as flooding.
  • Minimum Enrollment: 6 people run a class, Niceday will inform you in advance if there are not enough people to form a class, offering rescheduling or a full refund. If the class is confirmed, no further notification will be provided.

Participants (including paying companions) will receive: - A serving of ethnic specialty lunch (main course, dessert, beverage) - Materials and tools for making onde-onde (tools for on-site use only). The completed dessert can be enjoyed on-site or taken away. - The event will commence with lunch service starting at 12:00. It is advisable to arrive 15 minutes early. 3. Lunch will be served from 12:00 to 13:00. The next segment will begin at 13:00. Meals may not be served to late comers due to the scheduled activities.
