This Little Makers - Artisan Potter experience is designed for children aged 4 and above, and is guided by experienced pottery artists. As a representative of traditional crafts, pottery not only embodies rich cultural heritage but is also a creative and enjoyable art activity. Through a visit to a pottery factory and hands-on pottery workshop, children will have the opportunity to experience the charm of this ancient craft, gaining valuable knowledge and wonderful memories.
(1) Visit to the Pottery Factory
・Understanding the Production Line and Kiln Firing Process: Children will witness the magical transformation of clay into finished pottery. Professional explanations will help them understand the entire process, from preparing and mixing clay to kiln firing, sparking their curiosity and desire to learn.
・Interactive Experience:Children can participate in activities like slip casting, washing greenware, and glazing, experiencing the joy of ceramic making firsthand.
(2) Pottery Workshop (Coiling Technique / Blue and White Porcelain Painting)
・Introduction to Basic Knowledge: The pottery artist will introduce the history of pottery and the basic methods of making pottery.
・Hands-On Creation: Under the guidance of the pottery artist, children will create simple pottery items, such as cups or pencil holders, or learn the ancient underglaze painting technique of blue and white porcelain. This process not only develops their motor skills but also stimulates their creativity.
・Firing and Mailing of Works: All creations will be fired at Lavender Ceramics and mailed to the children's homes within 4-6 weeks, serving as unique artistic souvenirs.

Each participant’s pottery art piece will be professionally fired at Lavender Ceramics and reach their doorstep within 4 - 6 weeks. Children can bring their creations home as keepsakes, experiencing the full process from design to finished product.
